Abstract
⺠Two FRETs peptides can be used as specific tolls for metallo and serine peptidases present in the Bothrops jararaca venom. ⺠The angiotensin I and dynorphin 1-13 are good substrates for the serine peptidases. ⺠The cleavage point in angiotensin I shows a new chymotrypsin-like activity in the venom of B. jararaca. ⺠These activities are partially blocked by the commercial antivenom produced by Instituto Butantan.
