Abstract
⺠Edelfosine and perifosine inhibit hepatic mitochondrial respiration. ⺠Both compounds induce the mitochondrial permeability transition (MPT). ⺠Edelfosine decreases H2O2 production by the respiratory chain. ⺠This work demonstrates direct mitochondrial effects of both compounds.
