Abstract
⺠ANO1 mRNA and protein were highly expressed in human metastatic prostate cancer PC-3 and LNCaP cells. ⺠ANO1 shRNA resulted in a reduction of proliferation, metastasis and invasion of PC-3 cells. ⺠Intratumoral injection of ANO1 shRNA inhibited established tumor growth in orthotopic nude mice. ⺠Inhibition of overexpressed ANO1 can suppress tumor growth and invasiveness in human prostate carcinoma. ⺠Upregulation of ANO1 is involved in proliferation, progression and pathogenesis of prostate cancer.
