Abstract
► ECM proteins modified the growth and differentiation of human mesenchymal stem cells. ► Collagen type I, fibronectin and vitronectin treated plates enhanced mineralization. ► Relative up-regulation of ALP gene (ALPL) expression seen on these plates. ► High ALPL, RUNX2, OPN, IBSP expressions and early mineralization on collagen type I plate. ► The vitronectin treated plate showed the highest amount of calcium in the mineral matrix.
