Abstract
⺠The peptic-tryptic digest of gluten is known as Frazer's Fraction (FF). ⺠FF triggers intestinal celiac disease in genetically predisposed individuals. ⺠FF gliadin peptides alter actin filament morphology by direct interaction with actin. ⺠FF treatment leads to impairment of actin-dependent protein trafficking. ⺠FF gliadin peptides directly influence the binding of actin to Arp2.
