Abstract
⺠Asbestos-exposure related genomic markers are proposed in lung cancer (LC) patients. ⺠Allelic imbalances in 2p16, 9q33.1 and 19p13 occur in LC normal pulmonary epithelium. ⺠Changes in 2p16, 9q33.1 and 19p13 in combination associate with asbestos in LC. ⺠The association of these genetic changes to asbestos exposure is dose-dependent. ⺠The alterations form the basis for the development of a combinatorial molecular assay.
