Abstract
- Contribution of individual transport systems to intracellular Ca2+ homeostasis in budding yeast.
- Yeast lacking Pmr1 or Cod1 displayed vacuolar fragmentation, increased Ca2+ influx and vacuolar Ca2+ uptake.
- In pmr1Î strains, effects were insensitive to calcineurin activity, independent of Cch1/Mid1 and Pmc1 but required Vcx1.
- In cod1Î strains, effects were not affected by Vcx1 deletion but largely dependent on Pmc1 activity.
