Abstract
- Kalopanaxsaponin B (KSB) is a main constituent of Kalopanax pictus used for inflammation.
- KSB potently inhibited proinflammatory cytokines expression and NF-κB activation in LPS-stimulated macrophages.
- KSB did not inhibit NF-κB activation in active IKK-β-transfected macrophages.
- KSB did not affect IKK-β phosphorylation in IRAK1 siRNA-transfected macrophage and the binding of LPS to TLR4.
- KSB inhibited IRAK1 kinase in vitro, as well as LPS-induced systemic inflammation in mice.
