Abstract
⺠CCl4 imparted immunosuppressed condition in male albino mice. ⺠Curcuma longa and Zingiber officinale boosts non specific host response in immunosuppressed mice. ⺠Polar compounds of C. longa and Z. officinale augments immunosuppressed macrophage function. ⺠C. longa and Z. officinale potentiates the non-specific host defenses against opportunistic infections. ⺠C. longa and Z. officinale upregulates the serum level of TNF-α and IFN-γ in CCl4 intoxicated mice.
