Abstract
⺠Antimicrobial peptide production by bovine endothelial cells was analyzed. ⺠Endothelial cells constitutively express β-defensins. ⺠Bacteria or bacterial components induce the expression of β-defensins in BUVEC.⺠Expression of β-defensins is dependent on autocrine TNF-α production in BUVEC.
