Abstract
⺠Plasmatocyte-spreading peptide (PSP) is an insect cytokine and induces. ⺠Fungal infection activates Toll signaling, which then activates PSP expression. ⺠PSP activates PLA2 to produce prostaglandins (PGs). ⺠PGs induce oenocytoid cell lysis (OCL), which release prophenoloxidase for activation.
