Abstract
⺠We examined the role of the type I interferon receptor in the innate immune response to Listeria infection. ⺠Type I interferon signaling negatively regulates CXC chemokine expression induced by Listeria. ⺠Recruitment of neutrophils is inhibited by type I interferon signaling upon Lm infection. ⺠Blocking CXCR2 hampered neutrophil recruitment and bacterial clearance in IFNARâ/â mice.
