Abstract
⺠Growth of the plasma membrane during the cell cycle is essential for cell reproduction. ⺠Initiation, location, and extent of membrane growth must be precisely controlled. ⺠Recent experiments have linked membrane growth to core cell cycle regulators. ⺠Analysis of these links will yield insights into fundamental mechanisms of cell growth. ⺠Understanding post-Golgi pathways of membrane growth will be essential for future progress.
