Abstract
⺠Cadherin-actin interactions at adherens junctions (AJ) are overviewed. ⺠There are three types of AJs judging from the mode of actin association. ⺠Proteins involved in actin dynamics or actin binding at AJ are discussed. ⺠Recent work revealed the importance of α-catenin in the cadherin-actin linkage.
