Abstract
⺠Cindr is a novel component of Drosophila male germline mitotic and meiotic ring canals. ⺠Cindr is lost from mitotic ring canals at the mitosis-to-differentiation transition. ⺠Cindr loss from mitotic ring canals marks a common step of Drosophila female and male gametogenesis. ⺠Anillin recruits Cindr to the contractile ring during meiotic cytokinesis
