Abstract
⺠Two functional domains of LON-2/glypican independently inhibit BMP signaling. ⺠The N-terminal protease product of LON-2 is sufficient for LON-2 activity. ⺠LON-2 does not require protease cleavage and heparan sulfation sites for activity. ⺠The LON-2 C-terminus with GPI and heparan sulfation sites inhibits BMP signaling. ⺠LON-2's RGD site or membrane linkage is required for LON-2 activity.
