Abstract
⺠KDM4A is a H3K36me3 demethylase in vivo. ⺠Gene regulation by Drosophila KDM4A does not always require demethylase activity. ⺠Many dKDM4A-regulated genes lack H3K36me3. ⺠Histone demethylation may not be required for regulation of some genes by dKDM4A. ⺠Over-expression of dKDM4 causes male lethality.
