Abstract
⺠Tgfbr2 is required for neural arch closure and proliferation in adjacent mesenchyme. ⺠TGFβ stimulates migration of sclerotome associated mesenchyme. ⺠TGFβ stimulates expression of Pdgfb/c, which are also reduced in Tgfbr2cko cells. ⺠PDGF signalling is required for TGFβ mediated migration. ⺠TGFβ and PDGF regulate vertebrae development through paracrine interactions.
