Abstract
⺠STELLA protein was systematically localized to the mouse gastrula. ⺠STELLA localized to multiple tissues in the posterior region. ⺠STELLA was not confined to the established primordial germ cell trajectory. ⺠STELLA-positive tissues contribute to multiple tissues of the posterior region. ⺠STELLA may be part of a progenitor pool that is deployed to various posterior tissues.
