Abstract
⺠Regenerating zebrafish fin blastemas are temporally and spatially organized. ⺠Regeneration proceeds by formation of isolated blastemas at the tip of each fin ray. ⺠Osteoblasts undergo partial dedifferentiation while populating blastema peripheries. ⺠Cell lineages remain fate restricted during fin regeneration. ⺠Progeny of dedifferentiated cells are the major source of regenerated fin tissue.
