Abstract
⺠Zic3 has a role in organizer and notochord development. ⺠Zic3 attenuates Wnt/β-catenin signaling. ⺠Zic3 reduces β-catenin nuclear accumulation and promotes the degradation of β-catenin. ⺠Zic3 physically interacts with Tcf1 and XIC which can both influence β-catenin function. ⺠Zic3 may fine-tune Wnt/β-catenin signaling activity in vertebrate development.
