Abstract
► Beta-catenin controls neuroepithelial integrity and differentiation in midbrain. ► Loss of beta-catenin de-regulates mitotic spindle orientation. ► This leads to premature differentiation of neuroepithelial progenitors. ► GSK3 phosphorylated beta-catenin localizes to centrosomes of progenitors.►It is required for apical-basal polarity and centrosome maintenance.
