Abstract
⺠Protogenin (PRTG) is expressed in paraxial mesodermal lineage in chick embryos. ⺠PRTG overexpression results in the formation of cell aggregates in vitro and in vivo. ⺠PRTG-knockdown impairs the ingression and formation of the somites. ⺠PRTG mediates cell adhesion to regulate cell rearrangements of paraxial mesoderm lineage.
