Abstract
⺠We have found that Neuralized mediates asymmetric division of neural precursor cells. ⺠Neuralized is asymmetrically localized to the Numb domain. ⺠It regulates asymmetric division via two distinct, sequential mechanisms. ⺠By asymmetric distribution of Numb via down-regulation of Pdm1, followed by trans-potentiation of Notch. ⺠There is interdependence between Neu and Numb for their asymmetric localizations.
