Abstract
âºStress and aging induce dramatic nuclear blebbing in Caenorhabditis oocytes. âºIncreased nuclear blebbing is coordinated with RNP granule assembly in oocytes. âºAnnulate lamellae form in response to stress and extended meiotic arrest. âºA subset of nucleoporins is required for RNP granule assembly. âºNuclear membrane blebbing may facilitate the recruitment of RNA and protein into RNP complexes.
