Abstract
⺠GATA transcription factors are expressed in vasculogenic areas. ⺠Ectopic expression of GATA-2,-4, and -5 promotes endothelial differentiation. ⺠Inhibition of GATA activity leads to loss of VEGFR2 expression. ⺠GATA factors are induced by BMP signaling. ⺠GATA factors may mediate vasculogenic activities of BMP signaling.
