Abstract
âºCentriole function is not required during the asymmetric divisions of GSCs. âºSpermatogonial mitoses take place in the absence of centrioles. âºCentrioles are absolutely needed for meiotic progression. âºCytoplasmic microtubules, not the axonemal complex, drive spermatid elongation.
