Abstract
												⺠A mode of action of amiodarone for filamentous fungus Aspergillus niger is proposed. ⺠The effect of amiodarone on intracellular calcium kinetics and pH was analyzed. ⺠Calcium ATPase pmrAΠand pmcAΠmutants are hypersensitive to amiodarone. ⺠Hypersensitivity correlates with cytosolic calcium resting level. ⺠Irregular [Ca2+]c and intracellular acidification decrease cell viability.
