Abstract
⺠The pathogenicity gene pisatin demethylases (PDA) has been sequenced from 23 fusaria isolates. ⺠The phylogenetic history of PDA, beta-tubulin, and elongation factor 1-alpha were compared. ⺠The genealogy of PDA was incongruent with the understood organismal phylogeny. ⺠The discordance illustrates involvement of horizontal gene transfer of this pathogenicity gene.
