Abstract
⺠F. oxysporum contains light-regulated genes for carotenoid biosynthesis. ⺠Carotenoid overproducing mutants (carS) were obtained by chemical mutagenesis. ⺠Screening of about 10,000 T-DNA insertional mutants led to identify the gene carS. ⺠CarS is a protein of the RING-finger family.
