Abstract
► We have studied the Ashbya gossypii YAP1. ► We show that in contrast to all fungal Yap1 homologs characterized so far, A. gossypii Yap1 lacks CRD. ► YAP1 is involved in oxidative stress response. ► we uncovered a link between Yap1 and riboflavin production.
