Abstract
⺠BglR was identified as a new Zn(II)2Cys6 type transcription factor in Trichoderma reesei. ⺠BglR was discovered based on a comparative genomic analysis undertaken to verify SNPs between T. reesei mutants. ⺠Mutants without SNP in BglR failed to exhibit elevated cellulase production during growth on cellobiose. ⺠BglR up-regulates expression of genes encoding specific β-glucosidases.
