Abstract
- The three tweety genes display distinct expression patterns in Xenopus development.
- Ttyh1 and ttyh3 expression initially appears at late neurula stages in the anterior nervous system and the developing eye.
- Ttyh2 apperas at tadpole stages and is strongly expressed in the cranial ganglia.
- Ttyh1 expression is localized to the proliferative region of the neural tube.
- Ttyh3 is preferentially expressed in postmitotic regions of the neural tube.
