Abstract
⺠SIRT3 is a mitochondrial enriched protein lysine residue deacetylase. ⺠Deacetylation of mitochondrial proteins modifies target protein function. ⺠SIRT3 target proteins control mitochondrial energetics and ROS levels. ⺠SIRT3 ameliorates pressure-overload and aging associated cardiac dysfunction.
