Abstract
⺠Protein tyrosine phosphatase 1B inhibition (PTP1Bi) was assessed in heart failure. ⺠PTP1Bi or gene deficiency reduced adverse LV remodeling, and improved LV function. ⺠PTP1Bi of gene deficiency reduced cardiac fibrosis and hypertrophy. ⺠PTP1Bi or gene deficiency restored endothelial function. ⺠PTP1B may be a new therapeutic target in CHF.
