Abstract
► MicroRNA profiles in cardiac progenitor cells (CPCs) are distinct developmentally. ► The predicted protein targets are predominantly involved in cellular proliferation. ► The proliferative capacity of neonatal CPCs is higher than adult CPCs. ► Over-expression of miR-17-92 increases the proliferation in adult CPCs. ► A cohort of microRNAs may predict differences in cellular proliferation in CPCs.
