Abstract
► We show that 5-HT2A receptors/caveolin-3 interaction increases upon agonist exposure. ► 5-HT2A receptors stimulated with 5-HT traffic into caveolae microdomains. ► Caveolin-3 silencing enhances myocyte hypertrophy induced by 5-HT2A receptors. ► Caveolin-3 inhibits NFAT activation involved in 5-HT2A receptor-mediated hypertrophy.
