Abstract
⺠We describe transient receptor potential vanilloid 2 (TRPV2) in the murine heart. ⺠We have identified a novel property of probenecid as a positive inotrope. ⺠Probenecid does not cause a positive inotropic response in TRPV2â/â mice. ⺠Probenecid increases myocyte cytosolic calcium concentration. ⺠Probenecid does not cause electrophysiologic changes in the murine heart or myocyte.
