Abstract
âºPFTa blocks p53 activity and attenuates H2O2-induced cardiac apoptosis in vitro. âºPFTa significantly reduces the number of apoptotic cardiomyocytes after acute MI. âºAdministration of PFTa increases infarct size and reduces 7-day survival rate. âºPFTa leads to adverse remodeling of infarct area after MI.
