Abstract
► AGE induces renal cellular hypertrophy through the JAK2-STAT1/STAT3 pathway. ► Exogenous BH4 treatment attenuates AGE-inhibited the iNOS/NO/GTPCH I synthesis. ► Exogenous BH4 treatment inhibits AGE-induced renal cellular hypertrophy. ► BH4 inhibits renal cellular hypertrophy at least partly by increasing NO generation.
