Abstract
⺠Glutathione peroxidases (Gpx) are antioxidants involved in peroxides neutralization. ⺠Sex-specific expression of GPx in perinatal BALB/c mouse lungs was studied. ⺠A lower Gpx1 mRNA level in male than in female lungs was observed just after birth. ⺠The latter was concomitant to a sex difference in lung Gpx enzymatic activity.
