Abstract
⺠Effects of rapamycin in human subcutaneous and omental adipocytes on glucose metabolism. ⺠Therapeutic rapamycin concentration reduces basal and insulin stimulated glucose uptake. ⺠Reduced glucose uptake is associated with impaired insulin signalling. ⺠Rapamycin effects on adipocytes may contribute to therapy associated diabetes.
