Abstract

âº Prolactinomas resistant to dopamine agonist (DA) still express D2DR. âº We overexpressed sst2 in vitro by adenoviral infection in DA-resistant prolactinomas. âº Octreotide (sst2 agonist) became effective in prolactin (PRL) suppression. âº However dopastatin showed similar PRL suppression with or without sst2 overexpression. âº Regulation through D2DR remains dominant independent of functional sst2 coexpression.
