Abstract
⺠VEGFR2 is phosphorylated in human thyroid follicular cells. ⺠VEGF receptor inhibitor, ZM306416HCl inhibited VEGFR2 phosphorylation. ⺠ZM306416HCl inhibited p42/44 MAPK phosphorylation but did not block EGF, FGF or TPA. ⺠ZM306416HCl inhibited plasminogen activator activity and stimulated 125I uptake. ⺠ZM306416HCl blocked the effects of EGF on these parameters of thyroid function.
