Abstract
⺠Polymorphisms in the 3â²UTR of KiSS1 are associated with central precocious puberty. ⺠These polymorphisms are located in a G-rich sequence of the 3â²UTR of KiSS1. ⺠They interfere with the capacity of this G-rich sequence to fold into a G-quadruplex conformation. ⺠They influence the regulation of KiSS1 expression in human cell lines. ⺠Change in KiSS1 expression might participate to the timing of pubertal onset.
