Abstract
► Polymorphisms in the 3′UTR of KiSS1 are associated with central precocious puberty. ► These polymorphisms are located in a G-rich sequence of the 3′UTR of KiSS1. ► They interfere with the capacity of this G-rich sequence to fold into a G-quadruplex conformation. ► They influence the regulation of KiSS1 expression in human cell lines. ► Change in KiSS1 expression might participate to the timing of pubertal onset.
