Abstract
⺠DAG inhibited skeletal muscle proteolysis in burned rats. ⺠DAG reversed the anti-anabolic and catabolic effects of TNF and IFN on myotubes. ⺠DAG activated the PI3K/Akt pathway. ⺠DAG inhibited atrophy signals, phospho-NF-κB, MAFbx and MuRF1. ⺠The latter pathways may mediate the anti-catabolic and anabolic effects of DAG.
