Abstract
⺠Effect of AngII on apelin secretion in adipocytes is dose-dependent and bi-phasic. ⺠AT1 receptor activation induces apelin secretion in Ca2+, PKC, MAPK kinase dependent ways. ⺠While AT2 activation inhibits apelin secretion through cAMP and cGMP dependent ways. ⺠Apelin receptor expression is also differentially regulated by AT1 and AT2 receptors. ⺠A detailed AngII signalling map, through AT1 and AT2 receptor, is proposed.
