Abstract
⺠Serotonin syndrome (SS) is an increasing biomedical concern. ⺠The potential of zebrafish models to study SS-related phenotypes is discussed here. ⺠Zebrafish SS-related phenotypes parallel clinical and rodent SS models. ⺠Exposure to serotonergic agents evoke a marked surfacing behavior in zebrafish. ⺠Zebrafish SS-like behavior correlates with brain concentrations of serotonin.
