Abstract
⺠CDP-choline is a neuroprotectant and memory enhancing drug in age-related brain diseases. ⺠The drug modifies molecular and neurochemical parameters related to brain bioenergetics. ⺠The effects of aging and CDP-choline on mitochondrial enzyme activities were evaluated. ⺠Enzyme activities vary respect to the type of mitochondria, particularly at 18 months. ⺠The present results are in accordance with the known pharmacodynamic features of CDP-choline.
