Abstract
⺠Oxidative stress is a central feature of Alzheimer's disease (AD). ⺠Disruption to metal homeostatic pathways may contribute to oxidative stress. ⺠AD-related proteins, including APP, Tau and PS are involved in metal homeostasis. ⺠Metal ionophores, designed to restore metal homeostasis, are promising AD therapeutics.
